Group 2: Outokumpu Stainless Steel Plant Tour

Attendees will tour Outokumpu’s stainless steel plant in Calvert, Alabama, for an inside look at key stages of stainless steel production and finishing.

The tour will begin with a walk through the melt shop, including views of the furnace, AOD converter, ladle treatment station, and caster. Attendees will also see the cold rolling mill bay before walking through the finishing department, where they will view finished goods and the shipping area.

Buses will depart the hotel promptly at 11:30 AM and return at approximately 4:00 PM. The bus ride is approximately one hour.

Lunch will be provided by Outokumpu.
