Mr. Claesson holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and has 25+ years of experience in the global steel industry both as different operational managers to produce carbon steel as well as stainless steel, among others being Melt Shop Manager at Outokumpu Avesta.
He has also been in several product and commercial manager positions and for instance being Global Product Manager for the high strength stainless steel in Outokumpu´s product range Forta, which includes both temper rolled as well as Duplex stainless steels.
Currently Mr. Claesson is the Head of Strategic Market – Process Industry, with the global responsibility to identify and develop future long-term businesses, applications and products to serve the Process Industry. He is based in Avesta, Sweden.
